Red cheeks on snow-whipped peaks, a kwikk lunsj and we’re carving tracks downtown. An indelible burr awaits as sun rays streak longer and deeper through a concrete maze. Everything is quiet… for now. The din grows loud as dynamic peaks make themselves distinct, and the dance floor emerges. Silhouettes writhe in a wake of bass, undermining a city dormant, now awake.  

It’s bypåsekefestivalen 2025 and our annual city escape dominates the long weekend with some of the usual suspects and then some more. Prins Thomas’ Full Pupp celebrates a new release form a new artist while Skatebård takes on the basement.

Prins Thomas

Prins Thomas’ contribution to the Oslo music scene is unmatched, but his beginnings are humble. Back, way back in time, he started playing around as a DJ at a puerile age. Viewed as an extension of his break-dancing efforts, belt-driven turntables were enough to support his mix of hip hop, electro and an array of Arthur Baker’s and Shep Pettibone’s jewels. That passion for the music and the legacy of places like paradise garage has been channelled through every aspect of Prins Thomas’ being. Through his label Full Pupp and through his sets he is a musical connoisseur with unparalleled skills in the booth.

Isoebel 

Isoebel is a new inductee in the DJ booths around Oslo. As somebody that’s been a familiar presence on the scene’s dance floors in recent times she’s made the move from the dance floor to the booth. With Prins Thomas taking her under his wing, his mentee has hit the ground running in her new role. Going from the DJ booth to the recording studio she and Prins Thomas are Double Trouble.

Elli

Electronic musician and singer/songwriter originally from Greece, ELLI, has called London home for the past 15 years, balancing her career as an automotive engineer with her passion for creating music. After collaborating with several producers as a vocalist, she released music on renowned labels like Connected, Anjunadeep, Objektivity, and Truesoul. In addition to her successful collaborations, ELLI’s solo journey began with her debut single “Race My Heartbeat” on Prins Thomas’s Horisontal Mambo label. She followed up with “Just for Me & You”, released as part of Steven Julien’s DJ Kicks mix on iconic !K7 Records. Channelling a broad range of influences, her solo project explores the intersection between ambient/ electronic ethereal soundscapes and a more upbeat side that leans towards cosmic synth-pop.

Skatebård

Skatebård, the Norwegian producer of all things electronic. Connoisseurs know that his catalogue oscillates between emotional techno, neo-italo, electro from an alternative future and a Scando-cosmic reinterpretation of pure Detroitian house. Skatebård releases on labels like Digitalo Enterprises / Kompakt, Radius Records, Supersoul Recordings, Tellè Records, Keys of Life Finland, Luna Flicks, Totally and Sex Tags Mania.

It’s that time of year again, when we bring the easter festivities back to the city, and forego apres ski for the warm embrace of our Funktion one subwoofers. The Gården and Diskon plays host to whole load of residents and guests, and we might even bring the grill out if the weather calls for it.

This year. Prins Thomas’ Full Pupp celebrates a new release; Finnebassen returns; Skatebård takes on the basement; Schmooze and Brus take over a whole floor; and Ben Sims, Elli and Charlotte join us from overseas. see you on the floor.
